Truths of my Life

The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - that you'd thought special, particular to you. And here it is, set down by someone else, a person you've never met, maybe even someone long dead. And it's as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.

Fantasy Lover - Sherrilyn Kenyon

Plot:

It might sound like a man's favorite fantasy - to live forever, destined to be the lover of thousands of women. But for Julian of Macedon, it's a nightmare. Once he was a proud Spartan general; now he's a love-slave, his essence magically held captive in a book, cursed to spend all eternity pleasing women. Then, one day, Grace Alexander summons Julian to fulfill her passionate dreams - and sees beyond the fantasy to the man himself.
Long years as a sex therapist, listening to other people's bedroom problems, have taken a lot of the fun out of the physical side of love for Grace. But with or without sex, the rules of the enchantment cannot be changed - Julian is hers for the next month. And, as their time together slips by, Julian and Grace find more to share than sympathy and conversation and they begin to wonder if love might be within their grasp. That leaves only one question. Is love enough to break a 2,000-year-old curse?

My Opinion:

The lesson of this book is about trying to resist to temptation and see with true sight the soul of people (in this situation the soul of a slave of love). After all, we all have a past, we've all done mistakes that we regret, we all have to bear the loss of someone special to us (in this case his children, murdered without any mercy by their mother)...

All we need to do is find happiness during the short gaps of catastrophes and someone worth our while.

Cupid and Psyche

The book I'm reading has countless references to greek mithology, so I was intrigued to know more about it. And I happened to stumble on this sentence that means a lot to me:

"Darwin saw the butterfly as an apt emblem of the soul because it began as an earthbound caterpillar, 'died' into the pupal stage, and was then resurrected as a beautiful winged creature."

Destined, P.C. and Kristin Cast

Plot:

In Destined, the forces of Light and Dark collide as their epic struggle focuses on Tulsa’s House of Night. Zoey is home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side – and preparing to face off against Neferet. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx’s gift of a human form, he and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together – if Rephaim can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father’s shadow.
But is Zoey really safe? Does she truly know those who are closest to her? And will love win when it is tested by the very soul of Darkness? Find out what’s destined in the next thrilling chapter of the House of Night series.

My Opinion: It has spoilers!

'Destined' is the ninth book of the HoN sequel.
As expected, new characters are born/created while others die.

A good example is Aurox and Dragon.
Aurox is a weapon designed to follow Neferet's command, however due to the fact that Neferet's sacrifice was imperfect (Linda Heffer - Zoey's mom was the sacrifice), Nyx took the advantage and merged the Vessel's body with Heath's soul (Heath's request to reborn).
When Aurox faces with Zoey, he is able to feel!
Zoey is the button of Aurox's self-destruction as a weapon (Aurox takes the form of a bull, when corrupted by Darkness). Nonetheless Aurox is not gifted with Free Will and easily succumbs to the sharp tendrils of Darkness, killing Dragon - The Sword's Master.
Dragon faces a crossroad: 1) Kill Rephaim to vengeance his mate's death (Anastasia - The Rituals & Spells Mistress); 2) Protect Rephaim, as if he's a regular student, like a Sword's Master is expected to do.
Dragon's soul might be filled with anger and sorrow, but those feelings aren't strong enough to surrender to Darkness. Relying on his oath, Dragon saves Rephaim from Aurox in the middle of a ritual. Unfortunately he dies, double-breasted by one of Aurox's horns. Now, good side of things - Dragon is capable of meeting Anastasia in the Otherworld.

The splendid duet of Erin + Shaunee (the half-brained twins, metaphorically) is now told apart. Shaunee understands the harsh relationship some of us might have with parents. So she chooses to help Rephaim with his daddy issues.
To be honest there was no need for the duet to be told apart, if Erin learned to listen and to understand other people's point of view (She is the embodiment of the element Water - My favourite element! So I'm a little disappointed with her).

Erik, the jaw-dropping gorgeous boy with Hollywood expectations, sees himself wronged by Nyx because she made him a Tracker (a vampire that selects the humans who are destined to turn into vampires). When his instinct takes over control, he comes across a blind girl who is his target. Nothing goes according to plan, and Erik ends up turning the poor girl into a Red Vampire - then the Goddess gifts her with True Sight.

Lenobia - the horse's Mistress - is forced to accept the presence of a human in her stables. She falls slowly in love, as well as he does. But Lenobia holds a Vow, that keeps her away from humans in order to smooth the scars of her ancient soul. (I still need to read 'Lenobia's Vow' so I can't say much about her.)

Tenth book (Hidden) here I go!

'Destined' quotes

"I do not think. I do not feel. I am a weapon." Aurox, Chapter One, page 8

"I learned young that evil sometimes likes to be bragged about, even when it would be best if it kept a low profile. It has been my experience that Darkness's true struggle isn't against light and the strength of love and truth and loyalty. I think evil's greatest threat comes from its own pride and arrogance and greed. I've yet to see a bully who doesn't gloat, or a thief who doesn't brag. That's why they get caught. Darkness could get a lot more of its destructive work accomplished if it was more, shall we say, circunspect." Lenobia, Chapter Seven, pages 64/5

" 'No. Not a demon. I am Neferet's to command.' Aurox turned away then, leaving them behind, but he could not leave their words behind. They followed him down the hallway. He's a freak, they whispered. Something not right." Aurox, Chapter Twelve, page 130

" 'Darkness does not always equate to evil. Light does not always bring good.' Maybe things aren't exactly as they appear." Rephaim, Chapter Sixteen, page 171

"Over more than one hundred years the one consistent thing I have found is that there really is no normal when it comes to women!" Dragon, Chapter Eighteen, page 201

"The dead move like the wind, or at least they do as they manifest to me. They are ethereal, diaphanous. They appear to have no real substance, though they are, indeed, very real." Thanatos, Chapter Twenty-Two, page 234

"It is admirable as well as understandable for you to desire justice. Let this be a lesson to the rest of you - there is a distinct difference between wanting to gain revenge and exact vengeance, and wanting the truth to shine forth so that justice for all is illuminated." Thanatos, Chapter Twenty-Five, page 271

"The question of what we are can only be answered by ourselves. We each decide what we are by the life choices we make. How we were made, who are parents are, where we are from, the color of our skin, who we choose to love, all those things do not define us. Our actions define us, and will keep defining us untill even after death." Thanatos, Chapter Twenty-Five, page 273

"Fear can be beneficial if it is tempered with common sense and courage." Thanatos, Chapter Twenty-Six, page 285

Torment, Lauren Kate

Plot:
Hell on earth.
That's what it's like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel.
It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.
At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn't told her everything. He's hiding something - something dangerous.
What if Daniel's version of the past isn't actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?
The second novel in the addictive FALLEN series...where love never dies.

My opinion: It has spoilers!
Torment is the second book of Fallen's sequel writen by Lauren Kate.
It is indeed an interesting story, however (in my point of view) this writer still has a long path to blaze through her writing career.
As odd as it sounds, her writing skills remind me of my own.
I'm really disappointed with the general male's personality - they all seem like little puppies trying to protect the main character.
However just like everything in life, this book has its perks.
Before anything else I would like to highlight a few quotes of Torment (This is me trying to translate quotes):
* "You need to trust that the ones that surround you will be faithful to their natures. Even when it may seems like they are betraying who they are."
* "The feeling of lonelyness in a big group of people is the worse kind of lonelyness, but I can't help it."
* "Luce already trusted in the wrong people. A thoughtless occupation at best. At worse, is a good way of being killed."
* "Daniel had adviced Luce to trust her instincts. But her feelings seemed very unreliable."
* "The fact of being connected to him forever, like a puppet to its puppetman."
What really caught my attention was the huge amoung of concepts between angels and demons.

I read this book in my idiom (shamely) so I'm not sure about its right terms in English.
Anyway, we have God and we have Lucifer. Lucifer is a fallen angel that rebelled against God - creating the free will.
Between the fallen angels, there's the ones that are actually angels (white wings) and there's the demons (golden wings).
The shadows are like 'portable videos'. They're appear to be irregular clouds of darkness that record important historic events. Later we get to know that we're able to travel through space and time by them.
Also, we find the Nephilim - half angel and half human creatures. Genious mortals that have been offered special gifts.
Finally we have creatures that were banished from heaven, as well as from hell. They are blind and their wings are painfully degenerating.

The supernatural world is facing an ancient war, that started with a forbidden love between a fallen angel and a mortal. Both of them were curse to endure a love that will never be.
In this book, Luce (the mortal girl) basically finds out more about her other lifes with Daniel (the fallen angel white winged).

All in all, the lesson is: how many lifes does we have to live to find someone that's worth dying for?

Awakened, P.C and Kristin Cast

Plot:
Exonerated by the Vampyre High Council and returned to her position of High Priestess at Tulsa's House of Night, Neferet has sworn vengeance on Zoey. Dominion over her immortal consort Kalona is only one of the weapons she plans to use against Z. But Zoey has found sanctuary on the Isle of Skye and is being groomed by Queen Sgiach to take over for her there. Being Queen would be cool, wouldn't it? Why should she return to Tulsa? After losing her human consort, Heath, she will never be the same - and her relationship with her super-hot-warrior, Stark, may never be the same either...
And what about Stevie Rae and Rephaim? The Raven Mocker refuses to be used against Stevie Rae, but what choice does he have when no one in the entire world, including Zoey, would be okay with their relationship? Does he betray his father or his heart? In the pulse-pounding 8th book in the bestselling House of Night series, how far will the bonds of friendship stretch and how strong are the ties that bind one girl's heart?

My Opinion: It has spoilers!

Awakened is the eighth book of House of Night's sequel. As amazing as it sounds, the story still surprises me in every turn of pages.
P.C. and Kristin Cast stretched out their horizons and wrote our delight story from other character's point of view. For example we have chapters destined to Jack's (Zoey's gay friend), Neferet's (Hight Priestest that turns her back to the Goddess) and Linda's (Zoey's mother) side of the story.
It's a win-win game, because there's no way that the reader gets bored while reading.

Zoey and Stark (her Warrior, Guardian, Boyfriend) decide to stick around the Isle of Skye for a few days, in order to recover their energies from the exhausting trip into the realm of Nyx.
However reality doesn't take long to succumb over their souls. Soon they start receiving calls from their freinds. They get to know that Jack is preparing a whole welcoming party - he has organized the events, he has made the decoration and he even is planing to sing 'Defying Gravity - Glee'.
I suspect that Jack has an afinity with Spirit (the purple element), but the book doesn't really mention it.
His soul is uncapable of being tainted, due to that fact Neferet kills him using his essence to pay her debts to Darkness. He dies with honour, defying gravity 'till the very end.
Damien (Jack's boyfriend) and Duchess (Jack's dog) break down and surrender to tears. Erik also cries for his dorm's partner death.
Neferet keeps looking for stronger and invincible weapons to start a war with humans. She has recently allied with the embodiment of Darkness - a white bull.
Kalona (a fallen angel that fell for his sin - obsession), after failing his mission to kill Zoey while her soul was shattered in the realm of Nyx, desperatly tries to break his oath with Neferet. When he realizes that his immortal being has never really belonged to her, he reclaimes his own freedom and walks the lonely path of rejection.
Kalona's favourite son - Rephaim - faces two harsh choices, whether to remain by his father's side (like he always has) or pay his life debt to Stevie Rae.
Meanwhile, Heath is given three choices for his future: 1) remain inside Nyx's domain, living a fake hapiness that slowly washes away his human memories; 2) the chance to live again, with a different body/memories/story; 3) incorporate the Vessel (named Aurox) that Neferet is summoning - as her brand new weapon. Excited with the thought of seeing Zoey once again, he choses the latter.
Since the murder of Anastasia, Dragon is in the middle of a crossroad, whether he joins Zoey's team to avoid a war with humans or let his rage take over control, not fulfilling his mate's promise.

All in all, I got to highlight the splendid writing style/ideas that these two american girls have.
I 'heart' P.C. and Kristin Cast!!!

'Awakened' quotes

"He'd been born of hate and lust, pain and Darkness. He was a monster. Not human. Not immortal. Not beast. Monster. Monsters didn't dream. Monsters didn't desire anything except blood and destruction. Monsters didn't - couldn't - know love or hapiness: they weren't created with that ability." Rephaim, Chapter seven, pages 64/5

"If there is one lesson I have learned over several lifetimes, it is that there is nothing that is unbreakable. Nothing. Not the strongest heart, not the purest soul - not even the most binding of oaths." Kalona, Chapter seven, pages 69-70

"No, what's insanity is steppin' aside and lettin' the bad guys win. (...) All I'm gonna say to you is this: evil wins when good folks do nothing." Stevie Rae, Chapter thirteen, page 137

"What you need to remember is this: the only person's actions you can control are you own. Protect your own. Stand up for what you believe in. That's it - that's all you can do." Mama Johnson, Chapter seventeen, page 185

"See with the soul and not your eyes
because to dance with beasts you

must penetrate their disguise."

"Beasts can be beautiful
Dreams become desires
Reality changes with reason"

"My mama used to pune her roses real fierce, and I thought she was gonna hurt them, maybe kill them. When I asked her about it she told me sometimes you have to cut away the old stuff to make room for the new. Maybe it's time to cut away some old stuff." Stevie Rae, Chapter Twenty-three, page 250

"I'm going to give you a choice between three futures. You may choose one of the three, but know before you hear the choices that once you decide upon a path, the outcome is not set - it is only your decision that is set. What happens thereafter is left up to chance and fate and the resources of your soul." Nyx, Chapter Twenty-four, page 275

"If I begin taking away free will and controlling the decisions of my sons and daughters, when does it end? Will I not simply become puppet master, and my children marionettes?" Nyx, Chapter Twenty-five, page 277

"So is God a girl, or did my sins send me to Hell? (...)
Here we are not worried with past sins. Here, in my Otherworld, we care only about your spirit and what essence it chooses to carry with it: Light or Darkness. It is a simple thing, really." Linda and Nyx, Chapter Twenty-six, page 289

At First Sight, by Nicholas Sparks

Plot:
There are a few things Jeremy Marsh was sure he’d never do: he’d never left New York City; never given his heart away after barely surviving one failed marriage; andhad  never become a parent. Now Jeremy is living in the tiny town of Boone Creek, North Carolina, engaged to Lexie Darnell, the love of his life, and anticipating the start of their family. But just as his life seems to be settling into a blissful pattern, a mysterious and disturbing e-mail sets off a chain of events that will change the course of this young couple’s relationship. How well do we really know the ones we love? How do we handle the inevitable doubts, fears concerning parenthood, and stumbling blocks that are sometimes placed in our way? Continuing the story of the young couple introduced in Sparks’s bestselling True Believer, this novel captures all the heartbreak, tension, romance and surprises of those who are newly wed. An astonishing tale about the love between a man and a woman and between a parent and a child, At First Sight is about endings that bring new beginnings . . . tragedies that lead to unexpected joy . . . and, most of all, the magic of everlasting love.

My Opinion: 'It has spoilers'
'At First Sight' it's the sequel of 'True Believer'.
First of all, let's recall a few basic things about the story:
1) Jeremy is incapable of having children, at least that's what the doctors say. The only person who knows that is Lexie, his fiancée.
2) 'True Believer' ends with Lexie confessing to Jeremy that "They are having a girl!" - proving to Jeremy that miracles are out there and that many things in life can't be explained by scientific facts or theories.
3) Jeremy writes articles for a NY's magazine. His articles reveal the truth and offer an explanation for paranormal phenomena that happen, which can be fictional or even fake. In other words, an opportunity showed up in South Carolina, in a village called Boone Creek (a fictinal town - created by Nicholas Sparks) where the dwellers believed that, in a foggy night, the ghosts of their ancestors appeared inside the grave borders, claiming to protect the village that once belonged to them. In 'True Believer' Jeremy finds out what's causing the ghostly lights to appear, while he falls in love with a woman that works in the local library.

After deciding to live with Lexie (in her small little town), Jeremy begins to feel the difficulty of dealing with her pregnancy, the slow refurbishment of their future house, the preparations for the wedding and the fact that in small towns there's no secrets or any privacy. With this overwhelming tension Jeremy ends up not knowing what to write, risking to be fired.

As expected there's a few ups and downs in their relationship:
1) Lexie starts to visit her childhood friend - Ronnie - intending to find out where is Rachel - she ran away, right after arguing with Ronnie. When Jeremy is driving through town, he accidently sees the two of them holding hands. Meanwhile Jeremy receives two twisted e-mails which ask if Lexie is really carrying his baby (and connecting the dots - his trust in Lexie is put to test)
2) At his bachelor party, he gets to know the identity of those e-mails - which is his friend and work partner Alvin - and that Rachel spent a couple of days with him, in NY. Taking the advantage of being in NY, Jeremy walks by his parents house and discovers that Lexie has been sending letters - mainly about how the wedding's preparations were going, how's going to look their future house and that both of them were happy and healthy. His love for Lexie increases and sets his soul on fire.
3) They have a small wedding in a beach with their closest friends and family. As the tension and excitement sets down a little bit, Jeremy is once again able to write articles (being this way able to support his family). Now it's time for the trips to the hospital for doing the scans. The doctor tells them that the baby is healthy. However the amniotic band is freely swimming around the baby and if it fixes to any part of the baby, she might have some disabilities (not being able to run or throwing a ball) or may even die. It's a harsh time for the young couple, but when it's time to bring to the light another life, Lexie's life is traded by her own daughter.

The best part of the book is when Jeremy is able to accept her lover's death and take care of his daughter. Everyday he recalls details of Lexie in Claire, and when she is struck with nightmares, Jeremy brings her to the cemetery where he saw Lexie for the first time, where he met the supposed ghosts of Lexie's parents and the reason why he came to Boone Creek. After that foggy night, Claire has never woken up screaming again.

Movie quote

"I think that's bullshit! Total bullshit! You met somebody. Somebody very cool, from the sound, does it? How many weekends have we spent driving around looking for exactly that thing? And it never happens! It never happens... But it did. So now what? You go one bump and you gonna bill. Put your hands up and walk away. (...) No it wasn't. It was sex. One time. The first time. You don't know anything from that. You gonna tell me you don't think it worths giving one more shot? You think it's about letting go. No! It's about sticking with it and be a man. And I don't mean it no bullshit way, like you're tough or you're a dick. Being a real man! (...) You're. You're a man. Now act like it!"

This quote is from a movie called 'The First Time'. And this line is said by a friend of the main character (that I can't recall the name), when Dave (the main character) is talking with his friends about what he felt while doing It.

It happens that most teenagers (if not all) dream about having sex in their heads. However, when they find the guts to actually do it, it's not a big deal or it turned out to be a complete disaster.
What lead us, teenagers, to want it so much?
1) Blame the hormones!
2) Blame the porn videos/movies/books!
3) Blame the society's way of thinking!

Burned, of P.C. and Kristin Cast

Plot:
Things have turned black at the House of Night. Zoey Redbird's soul has shattered. With everything she's ever stood for falling apart, and a broken heart making her want to stay in the Otherworld forever, Zoey's fading fast. It seems more and more doubtful that she will be able to pull herself back together in time to rejoin her friends and set the world right. As the only living person who can reach her, Stark must find a way to get to her. But how? He will have to die to do so, the Vampire High Council stipulates. And then Zoey will give up for sure. There are only 7 days left... Enter BFF Stevie Rae. She wants to help Z but she has massive problems of her own. The rogue Red Fledglings are acting up, and this time not even Stevie Rae can protect them from the consequences. Her kinda boyfriend, Dallas, is sweet but too noisy for his own good. Then truth is, Stevie Rae's hiding a secret that might be the key to getting Zoey home but also threatens to explode her whole world. In the middle of the whole mess is Aphrodite: ex-Fledgling, human, trust-fund baby, total hag from Hell (and proud of it). She's always been blessed (if you could call it that) with visions that can reveal the future, but now it seems Nyx has decided to speak through her with the goddess's own voice, whether she wants it or not. Aphrodite's loyalty can swing a lot of different ways, but right now Zoey's fate hangs in the balance.
Three girls... playing with fire... if they don't watch out, everyone will get Burned.

My opinion:
In the seventh book of HON sequel we can 'embody' many more character's perspectives, such as, the almighty Kalona.
As it is said in the plot, we have three different 'intrigues' going on, linked by friendship bonds.

The main one is about Zoey. At the moment, she is inside Nyx's realm, also called the Otherworld - a place where souls are trapped and unable to move on, due to unfinished businesses left behind on Earth.
Zoey isn't dead! But that's a truth that Neferet definitely wants to eliminate. That's the reason why she sends her lover - Kalona - to the Otherworld, trapping his body with webs, made of darkness.
Pieces of Zoey's soul are scattered through Nyx's realm. She better re-unite them before her body starts to perish, but it's a harsh task to accomplish, especially after witnessing her consort's death - Heath.
In one way or another, Stark succeeds and enters into Nyx's realm. First of all, he needs to find Heath and tell him that he must move on to a better place - Heaven-, where he can rest in peace, and also help Zoey to re-join her lost soul pieces.
However it turns out to be the other way around. Right before Heath leaves Nyx's domain, he promises to return to Zoey, no matter what, in this life or in the next one.

Stark also comes up with a prophecy that turns out to be a map about how to return to the real world, while fighting against Kalona.
Zoey finally recovers her sanity and (all alone) she puts together all her missing soul pieces. Meanwhile Stark is fighting against the immortal being, and transforms himself into a Guardian - Shaman.
Both of them return home safe and sound.

Stevie Rae's story is the one that excited me the most.
Rephaim pays back his life debt, by saving Stevie Rae from being toasted under the sunlight. And both of them accidently create an Imprint! Which also proves that the Darkness inside Rephaim's body can be controlled.

The fact that Rephaim discovers the true meaning of love is a pretty moving chapter.
Despite of being born out of a violent and cruel act of rape, Rephaim has the Free Will to choose between his father's path (Kalona - Fallen Angel - Immortal) or standing by Stevie Rae's side.
Being two sides of the same coin, Rephaim and Stevie Rae help each other, find out a way of getting back, both Zoey and Kalona alive.
When the mission is finally accomplished, they face an inconvenient truth. Their love might not be accepted neither by the figure of Light nor by Darkness.

All in all, it was an enjoyable book to read, filled with ups and downs, just like a rollercoaster. I hope this sequel NEVER ENDS!
Thank you very much, P.C.and Kristin Cast you have made my teenage life more interesting every minute that goes by.

Night Fury's Oath

Shot and beated down,
forgotten in enemy's ground.
Wearing a dirty, torn, black dress,
with a perfect angelic body injured.
Time for the life withing her to be claimed
Shall she be chosen between Light and Darkness.

Claws and fangs lurking within the night,
battlefield revealed by the moonlight.
A sky's creature stalks these lands,
looking for his mistress.

Scars turning back into smooth skin,
(as the cure being a moist lick)

Pleasure and tension are shared by the blood bond,
wiping tears and any trace of fear away.

But it's a high price to pay,
In order to keep the world's balance,
If someone lives,
Somebody had to die!

Stealing a truthful passionate kiss,
the loyal Night Fury
offers his heart
so as to save his mistress' life.

Resting a delicate pale hand
on his chest, covered with black feathers,
(which moves up and down
in such an eerie speed)
the fallen angel screams her legacy
Freedom!

Her eyes become white,
her heart stops beating,
her body returns to the sky,
her seed full fills its transition.

Ripping out her mom's heart
'the source of an immortal's power'
and devouring it, like a famished cub,
The Nephilum rises
and a new era begins.

Dream's Seller - Part III

One step at a time, jumping higher and higher, the little girl, with golden strings of hair, follows her destiny's path, singing:
'Butterfly, piece of my dreams. Am I human? Am I a butterfly? Am I both? at the same time. Golden butterfly. Myth of legends... Will you show me the way?'
Her peer, the chrysalis, flies away, showing the lead. The rays of light reflecting the various silver tones of the chrysalis' wings show her the 'Earth's creeper'. She stands still, observing its behaviour.
It's a guy in his early thirties, wearing jeans and an unbuttoned shirt, that partly shows some of his chest hair and leather cord with a hanging-shaped shark tooth. It's a blue-eyed fella with black curly fluffy hair playing a tradicional C-30 guitar.
A little five year-old girl gives him a few coins for the marvellous songs he played and sang simultaneously.
When he picks up his hat from the ground, the sweet girl puts the coins inside it, giggling at his charming smile.
Definitely enchanting, but is he my other half? the blonde girl thought.
The nice girl is pulled by her mom's hand, and the hypnotic spell between her and him breaks.
Time to step in! the blonde girl decides.
The charming pal returns to his spot under the magnolia tree, where the leaves keep falling, spreading tons of pollen through the air. He started to play 'Caravan' of Passenger and began to sing alongside his guitar chords.
"Ohai young mate, what brings you here on such a lovely evening?" he greets the blond haired girl, speeding up and down the rhythm to emphasize his words.
"Caravan of Passenger" Molly replies.
"Spot on, deary!" he replies and begins to play another song.
After a couple of chords, Molly answers again "'Sleepy little town', from The White Buffalo."
"Indeed! You know? You remind me of someone..." he leaves the thought unsaid to increase the tension between them as he starts up another tune.
"Oh yah?" Molly hums indifferently, "American Pie", it's performed by Don McLean.
"Right again."
He pushes the guitar to his back and kneels in front of Molly, with their gazes at the same height.
"This is my fiancée." he says, revealing a picture and holding it up like a card.
Molly never leaves his gaze and questions him "Do I look like her?"
He puts a hand on Molly's heart "Your essence is like her."
Molly's eye pupils dilates, and seconds later she lays her left hand on his, pinching it immediately.
He folds both hands, complaining.
"Don't touch me..." Molly whispers with a serious look in her eyes, almost predatory.
Ignoring the supposed threat, he grabs her small hand and pulls her towards his bike.
"Judging by the pendant that you have on your neck, I bet there's a picture of your father inside." he begins to say, setting the bike for a ride "And for a girl like you to be outside here, without any adult, it's because you either ran away or you went out to clear up your head." he now looks straight at her, "I'm willing to learn more about you, if that's the case." he says as he puts the bike into motion.
During the ride, neither of them spoke. Molly merely sustain her weight against his chest, listening to his strong and steady heartbeats. Albert only focused on the road, the night becoming darker and darker as a storm prepared to strike.
"Turn right, and that house over there, it's mine." The girl told him.
Albert nods.
Molly jumps off the bike and waves good-bye, "Thank you for the ride, Albert." she smiles sweetly at him.
His face shifts from daring and amused, to scandal and fear (that, gives place to courage). At the sound of a thunderclap Albert jumps off the bike and puts himself between Molly and the hooded stranger, while shouting "He's armed!"
... a trigger is pulled, an agonizing scream is released and a crying prayer is hummed towards the sky.

*

Under the magnolia tree, there is a grave covered with orchid petals. Inscribed on the stone are the words "Beloved lover and dad, you'll always be in our hearts."
Molly kneels in front of her saviour's grave and whispers a haiku about the other life.
"My Earth's creeper, dad, my Guardian!" Molly prays and leaves her pendent on the grave.
A massive sphere enfolds Molly and a wild winds start blowing, washing away the slight layer of pollen on top of the grave, opening the golden heart-shaped pendent that lay upon the stone.
Inside it, there's a picture of Albert!... Her Earth's creeper, the reason why fallen angels want to redeem themselves.
But Molly had already fallen...
Heaven wouldn't take her back. Nevertheless she is redeemed now.
She wasn't born to live among humans, due to that fact , after the massive sphere had already sucked all of her being, she fades to grey, leaving behind a demon's legacy, destabilizing the whole balance of this fragile world.
In her place, right next to Albert's decomposing body buried underground, there is Jo's dream catcher, the source of Power.

Dream's Seller - Part II

Before entering the hospital, I was expecting to see white, heartless walls, crowded rooms full of people sneezing, coughing and tossing in pain.
But once I walk in, instead of seeing sad faces and breathing air contaminated with germs, I saw multicoloured walls, employees with honest smiles (as if they were genuinely glad with their jobs) and healthy trees regenerating the environment around.
Moving towards the 'Chambre n.º 193', I checked the hall twice "Clear!" and picked up my Blackberry, checking my E-mails, before opening the door.

Eternal Eden's Garden:
1 message from xPaNick_94 to oEl:r
- Jo's updates: *Pregnant; *Cutting herself; * Stabbed herself and her unborn baby; *Consuming morphine

Putting together these small pieces and creating a whole picture in my head while opening the door, I find myself staring at a teenage girl holding David's hand.
I only took a step towards David's bed, before stopping instantly causing the curl up of my dress.
She was so similar to Jo (at least in one of the pictures Nick sent me), same shimmering darkened green eyes, straight long tousled black hair and pale white skin.
Although, there was some eerie aura that didn't fit there.
Jo's forearms were cut, which gave a vivid blood-red colour to her skin, her right fist was filled with tiny mirrored glass that glittered with her presence and there were pieces of her bones between the phalanges where the wound was so deep that blood was no longer able to irrigate the tissues of her skin. A pair of scissors were still stuck inside her being, making her face writhe in agony.
When I finally averted my gaze from Jo, and focused it on David, I instinctively lifted my hand and covered my mouth to mute a scream of horror.
David was wrapped in some type of glowing exuviae that appeared to be preparing him for the 'Other life'. And unconsciously, my lips shaped the word "Why?"
Meanwhile Jo raised her hand and put something inside her mouth, saying "I like, not to feel--". It was morphine.
I didn't notice that I was holding my breath, so I breathed deeply and closed my eyes shut simultaneously. I just wanted my brain to quit playing tricks on me!

When I opened them again, instead of Jo holding David's hand, it was his younger sister.
"You're cute today," her childish voice broke through my shell "fank you for keeping an eye on my brother."
I just got what the little kid was saying, a few moments later, "There's nothing to thank for," I winked. "That's what friends are for."
She smirked, "Friends...", and left the word to take its own path, making me read between the lines.
The little girl got up onto her feet and shook my hand. "Enchanted to meet you, I'm Molly."
I replied "An honour to meet you too and I'm Eleana, you can call me El--"
"Eleana you say, once I knew you by another name," Molly released my hand and literally danced towards the door. "Eliot, am I right?" she asked as she opened the door and disappeared.
Oh my, I thought.
I didn't have time to drop my bags, because I immediately heard a knock on the door, and froze right away.
I held my breath again, when I felt the adrenalin rushing into my veins. I hate feeling threatened by the unknown.
The door opened a little, and a shade lurked by the crack. It was his mother, Anabelle.
She entered the room, whistling and carrying a loaded cage with a bunny inside. Anabelle didn't notice that I was there, so when she glanced up and focused her gaze on me, she squeaked and dropped the cage, making the bunny move from peacefully sleeping to frightened.
"Ohh God, I apologize. I didn't notice you were here!" She knelt down and started to grab her things.
"No need to apologize, I was the one acting like a statue." I said, helping Anabelle with the bunny on the floor.
"Oh, you must be the girl that he met a couple of days after his birthday."
I just nodded, recalling the scene from a few days ago.
"How were you able to find  our address?"
"His Facebook profile and pictures..." I reflected, "he should be more careful about that. It was too easy to track him down."
Anabelle's smile was vanishing while I was talking, so I decided to start over.
"I mean, Hey my name is Eleana, you can call me El." I shook her hand, waiting for her reply.
"Pleasure, you can call me mom."
I raised one eyebrow and she rectified "Ha, I made a funny. Now seriously, you can call me Belle."
She looked at her watch and exclaimed "Oh dear, I'm late for work. This is not going to be good. A preach from my boss, first thing in the morning. How exciting!"
She left the cage and the bunny near David's bed "I see, you are going to set up camp in here," she pointed at my bags that I was still holding. "So I leave him up to you. Take care!" she closed the door behind her.
Finally I dropped my bags and laid on a chair, listening to the steady 'bips' coming from the machine while petting his bunny, Ronnie.
Ronnie's nose detected the familiar scent of David, and, by instinct, he jumped out of my lap and tried to climb up the bed, without any success.
I forced myself to get up again and walk toward the bed, picking up Ronnie and laying him next to David.
Staring at his chubby face, I rubbed his sweaty cheek and put one of his strings of hair behind his ear, You really need a haircut I rambled in my head.
David folded his hand in mine, kissing it gently, "You found me."
"I promised you, we would be together, someday." I kicked off my shoes and got into his bed. We started nuzzling, alongside with the guitar chords being played outside, that seemed to be floating through the air, into the 'Chambre n.º 193', as the bunny made his way up between our faces.
"You brought Ronnie!" he said, with his voice full of joy. And I corrected "Your mom brought Ronnie, I just took care of him, while you're asleep."
After a few minutes of silence, which we spent by only staring at each other, I finally broke the awkwardness (I mean, it's the first time we are really together and we don't have anything to say...)
Suddenly the memory of a couple of days ago crossed my mind.
The thought of seeing David outstretched on the floor, panting, unable to breath, with his eyes becoming glassy and his cheeks turning red, almost made me cry. He could have died of an overdose.
"Don't ever do that again, okay? I thought you'd died!" I confessed, wrinkling my forehead.
"You know, I like not to feel."
"Wait, what? I thought you were taking anti-depressives--" Right there I acknowledged what was on the top of his bedside table, "Morphine."
I grabbed the vial and threw it against the wall, scattering the pills around the floor.
"What the --" he started to say.
"What the HELL you think you're doing, David?" I shouted at him "The nurse said you didn't need those any more." and pointed, with my opened hand, at the pills on the floor.
He opened again his mouth to reply, but I went on, "First random fact you told me, was that you didn't consume drugs!" I continued to scream at him, drowning my sorrow in the hidden truths he didn't mention "But then you admitted to taking pills, and now THIS!"
"I--" he began stating, but he was cut off.
One of the nurses walked in and asked me to leave. I remained in the same position, waiting for his reply, that didn't come out.
The nurse repeated her order and I listened to it "Fine, I'll go!"
I collected my things and walked out the door, waving good-bye, fighting against the urge of collapsing into tears.

*

The tears were already blurring my vision, when my foot missed the first step of the stairs in front of me.
It was as if I was flying, no, not flying, more like falling,... falling 'cause my sins;
innocence... that was a sin!
But then, an unbearable pain brought me back. First thing I knew was that I had a terrible headache and, with that, the inconvenience of having a broken ankle.
Dear Jesus, was I swimming in a bloody sea?
Sounds like someone cut the fallen angel's wings. Now, I have to endure a painful and merciless life.
How am I going to cope, with the idea of never going to feel the gentle breath of the wind playing with my hair and rubbing my face?

Dream's Seller - Part I

When you give it much of a thought, while you're sitting on the roof of your house, looking at the stars and waiting for dawn; you get to the conclusion that life itself is a circle: we are born, we grow up, we reach the climax of our life and then, we die.
However the world is not only ruled by one circle, in fact, to keep the balance, it has many circles tangled in each other, just like a spider's web.
The Earth spins around its own, following the rotation axis, 11º deviated from the normal, creating the succession of nights and days. Also, like a true believer, the Earth orbits around the sun, tirelessly without complaining, giving birth to the seasons.
In our surroundings the carbon dioxide cycle is always happening , usually trapped inside living creatures, alongside with the matter cycle, triggered by food chains.
In terms of the universe, as everybody knows, scientists suppose it all started with a big explosion named as Big Bang. But what existed before the big explosion? Perhaps the same universe we have nowadays? Perhaps there were planets with double gravity? Maybe there was someone like me... Just trying to find a place in this world!

Anyway, our story begins with a girl called Jo.
On one of those nights, where a slight fog erases pieces of our reality (either physically, or inside our dream borders) while it's drizzling, that's when fate decides to strike (stabilizing the peace once again and eliminating the places where chaos was the leader).

Hanging by a thread, a dream catcher is waving alongside the soft cold wind blowing through the window into Jo's bedroom.
The dream catcher has four distinct sections, incorporating the four phases of life, the four phases of the moon (full moon, waning moon, new moon, crescent moon), the four cardinal points (East, South, West, North) and the respective four elements (Wind, Fire, Water, Earth).

When we face East, there is a bookshelf that covers all the height of the wall. The shelves of the bookcase are full of books, school materials, stuffed animals, family and childhood pictures.
At its very bottom, we can pull out an extended piece of wood to form an improvised desk, where Jo usually does her doodles, sitting on her violet puff. Next to it there is an empty bird's cage, where it once protected a weak and old canary bird. The containers for food and water are still full, as if ready to feed a hungry creature. Also, tied to the cage was the canary's dusty bell. Oz loved to ring it when Jo used to bring friends over. Let's say it was a way to attract human being's attention. Oz even surprised Jo with some unexpected tricks, such as spinning around on one leg, chirping a sad lullaby (when the girls started to talk about the history of their heartbreaks) and simulating a kiss.

Turning to the right, following the clockwise direction, we are at the South side of the room.
Here, there's a common door half covered with a huge poster of Brant Daugherty who Jo considered a perfect actor to perform the role of the fallen angel that turns into a demon in one of the Small feather's books. Hanging on the doorknob a miniature dream catcher holds a small disintegrated photo that brings back memories when Jo was six years old.
In the picture, she was sitting upon a porch of her first home, hugging both of her best friends. One of them was a blue eyed blonde girl named Erin who looked like a pure angel on the outside, but she had a very cunning and mysterious soul. I even dare to say that she was the 'brain' of their pack. The other one was a guy wearing glasses with thick black frames. Behind the glasses, there was two shimmering golden green eyes profiling his face. He was more like the 'Peacemaker', always with a new joke around. At birthday parties he usually was the one playing songs in his guitar and making everyone sing and dance on the stage.
Having some good time!
Unfortunately, they are both dead now.
A twisted man got into their academy and started shooting randomly over school's community. Overall there was twenty-seven dead people. Three employees, ten teachers and fourteen students. Two of them were Erin and Alex.
Jo had skipped school that day.
Due to that fact, she was given the opportunity to see another sunrise, but she blamed herself for not being by her best friends side. She still feels like she had betrayed them somehow...
And that was the day, when everything began to fall apart in Jo's life.

Next to the door is the bed. It's still undone, with its sheets in a complete chaos, clothes scattered all over and with one of the two pillows on the floor, where we can distinguish traces of fresh blood.
Inside the bed there is David, snoring and taking some rest.
After a week of turbulent nights and a high dosage of anti-depressant pills, David finally can pass out toward the dreamland for a few peaceful hours.
Keep turning right, we are now facing the West. The wall's paint is filled with tons of papers picturing various stages of Jo's spirit.
The doodles are organized according to a compass card. The especial drawings are posted by their relevance, following the rules of time, place and feelings; occupying extreme positions in the compass card.
Leaning against the wall there is a eleven year-old dusty guitar, with a pick tucked into its strings and, also, with a necklace of leather with a shark tooth hanging wrapped around the guitar's arm.
Hanging by a gauzy string, a chair shaped as a half-moon appears to be floating in the air, with a Piglet resting on it.

Finally the North.
Upon a wooden table, two screens allow Jo to get into a virtual life, while a breeze caresses her hair tresses, as well as the dream catchers hanging feathers.
Her forearm is bloody mess, blood sneaks out her veins in bearable amounts and she's still holding the mutilation weapon.
In one screen she's listening to heavy metal songs so as to keep her conscious and in the other one, she's playing a social game.

A bathtub full of water and rose's petals floating on the surface, is emanating steam to the small bathroom, turning it into an invisible, eerie dimension.
Jo's light weight makes her fragile legs tremble and to stop them, she is distributing her weight by her hands.
Three single blood drops roll down the sink, coming from her cut arm.
When Jo is finally able to open her eyes and focus them in the mirror, she gets disgusted about what she's seeing. Herself...
A slight, thin, pink line in her right cheek is covered with dried blood. A passionate bite mark in her neck, finally stopped bleeding, but the bruise translates raw love instead of a caring one.
A sudden wave of anger flows through her essence and, as a reaction, she raises her fist and punches the mirror, shattering it and leaving her hand full of tiny pieces of it, joined with her own blood.
Sitting down upon the toilet lid, holding the scissor's sharp side against her belly and breathing heavily, due to the increased of adrenalin in her veins. Jo slides the scissor inside her, stridently screaming, at the same time that a thunder mutes the whole neighborhood, with its powerful explosion of sound.

*

Jo jumps into her bed, with her face wet because of the tears, hands, forearm and belly covered in blood, and shouts at David alongside the storm "GET OUT!".
David wakes up with his icy blue eyes wide open "What the he--"
"EVERYBODY...HATES...ME!"she pauses in every word, making its pronounciation sounds stressed.
He holds up one of his hands, that Jo is grabbing tightly and, as he notices the amount of blood she's losing, he, astonished, asks "What's going on, Jo?"
"LIKE YOU CARE," she keeps screaming "YOU'RE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE..." with this, she starts hitting him in the tummy.

While they're shouting and hitting each other, somewhere in their neighborhood a trigger is pulled, an agonizing scream is released and a crying pray is hummed towards the sky.
The price will be a dream's catcher...

The Guardian - Nicholas Sparks

Plot:

Julie Barenson's young husband left her two unexpected gifts before he died - a puppy named Singer and the promise that he would always be watching over her. Now, four years later, twenty-nine year-old Julie is far too young to have given up on love. She may be ready to risk caring for someone again. But who? Should it be Richard Franklin, the sophisticated, handsome engineer who treats her like a queen? Or Mike Harris, the down-to-earth nice guy who was her husband's best friend? Choosing one of them should bring her more happiness than she's had in years. Instead, Julie is soon fighting for her life in a nightmare spawned by a chilling deception and jealousy so poisonous that it has become a murderous desire...

My opinion:

Nicholas Sparks' books always have  that same thought's line - a woman and a man that meet each other and, in one way or the other, they both fall in love.
Nevertheless, the author has that 'spark' when he writes, linking a random novel to eerie events. In this story he bonds promises, human nature and instinct, in one character - Singer (who happens to be my favourite character in the book).
One thing that Nicholas Sparks could explore more, is the fact that every man has a good side and a dark side. In this book Mike is the good guy and Richard is the dark one.
I always find myself wondering about the reasons why Richard had so much bitter, paranoid and revenge inside himself. My conclusion --> genes!
Richard had a troublesome childhood that motivated him towards the dark side of things. Was he capable of loving someone? To be honest, I don't think Richard knew the right definition of love. For him, everything was a matter of 'I'm the only one capable of protecting you, don't you see how perfect our future seems to be?'. Well my friend, manipulating and especially killing people, might not be a very clever way of gaining what you seek for...

One little idea that may catch the readers: Create a character that awakes the goodness in the dark ones.
Now you might be thinking 'But that way, there's no villain!'.
You guys might be right, but hey ho, most of us weren't born to be the well-known handsome 'heroes' and probably most of us are still struggling to find out if our essence belongs to the dark side or the saint one.
All this rambling to say that Richard had a dream - Photography.
And just like Nicholas Sparks wrote "You always have a choice. It's just that some people make the wrong one."

Tempted, P.C.Cast

Plot:
So... you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang.
Judggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions. Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the immortal  evil.
Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn't go to Kalona he will inflict a fiery vengeance on those close to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul?

My Opinion:
In the sixth book of the House of Night's sequel, the story changes from one character's point of view to another. This really keeps the reader focused in the story.
I loved reading what crossed in Refaim's mind and how he and Stevie Rae imprinted (Yesh, I've gone all crazy about this little 'turned out' in the story). But my favourite part (and that left my mouth literally open :O ) was when Heath tried to catch up with Stark, but got left behind, ending up by listening to Neferet and Kalona's conversation. The description of the labyrinth in St.Clement's island tells us more of what's going to happen, than we can catch up at the first sight. Minotaur, so I heard...

Weekend's Doodles

It was such a lovely weather this weekend! I've even gone for a walk at the beach, that turned out to be harder than I was expecting (Not going to say why...).

Also, to spend some of my free time, or to take a break during my studing sessions, I scribble these two doodles.

New Doodle!

I was kind of tired of my drawings not having any colours, so I went to buy a new acquisition: watercolour pencils.

The hair of them is painted with coloured pens, that I found inside one of the countless drawers of my house.

I love the 'computer' draw that I used as a basis to my doodle, and I decided to add little things of my own to it. Subtle things.

The title of my draw is: Eyes, as mirrors to our souls!
Each 'character' in the draw represents a mystery for me:
* Little girls, whose heart always have a special place to a special person.
* Young men, whose mind are such a tempting piece of them.

Sometimes we might get surprised about how much a little girl knows these days. On the other hand, we might get amazed about how caring can a young man be.

Surely it is a world full of wonders and bizarre things in every corner!

A few Draws of mine!

First of all, my draws are not original. I do not go by the rules, I just create them to spend time and to relax at the end of a day, full of classes and studies.

This doodle was basically the trigger of this 'game of doodles'. I made it from zero point (blank page).
It's more like a 'lucky shot', that actually got out right!

This one brings me memories of someone that used to be special to me. My first doodle of human beings.
I did it a few days after Christmas.

And with this one, I began to personalize my own doodles.
They usually remind me of places, times that have passed and persons.

And this one is dedicated to my favourite anime character - Kaoru - from OHSHC (Ouran HighSchool Host Club).
It was also a way to get through Valentine's Day alive!

This doodle is the most harsh one, that I've ever done (and that ended up presentable).
I love Fallen Angels, and this draw surely represents a strong passion between two creatures that fell in love, but aren't meant to be together.

And many more are coming out soon enough ^.^

The guy's eyes are a little bit colour faded, but the tension between the couple it's totally cute <3

Temptation

While there's people who stand up and fight, I'm one of those who decide to just walk away and pretend that my problems, as long as my escape gets me, are left behind, far far away.
And of course, before you start a war, you better know what are you fighting for. And this also applies to the ones who prefer to get away.
As for me, I run away from my past, which can't be erased. There's no hope to start again in this world. And because of that, I compelled myself to a non-stop run, as if it would solve all my problems, in a blink of an eye.
I have no idea of where I'm heading to, as long as I don't stop running, everything will find a way out, eventually...
Sooner than I thought, I had to take a break in order to recover my energies. With my left hand grabbing an old grid belonging to an imponent gate, breathing heavily, tucked on myself, memories of why did I run ravaged my mind. His face will never vanish from my head.
It took me five long minutes to realize where the hell I was.

In the middle of a road, where cars come and go so rarely, and somewhere behind the dense and dark vegetation on the other side of the road, there is a village with a tower bell which announces the hours. This when I'm turning to South, and to East 'n West the road extends far beyond my vision can reach. However when I'm facing North, that's when odd feelings start to strike inside my tummy (Yesh, just like butterflies).
A big, centennial house made of stone, steel, wood, glass and tile, which structure seems just like a castle, that faced plenty ages of war (mmhmm, it has a lonely tower, bigger than any of the other ones), blessed with  a crystal clear blue lake. The castle rises from the ground as if it was made by the hand of the Goddess.
Unconsciously, I get into the garden of that mythical castle (one way or another, the gate succumbed and opened itself, for me to enter). The garden appears to be infinite and well treated, although that doesn't disguise the traces of sorrow in the leaves and flowers. The trail I blaze, guides me to a gigantic door, with one of those terrifying statues of animals holding a circle in their mouths, as a bell.
Fighting against the urge of turning around and run, I raise my hand and ring the bell, stepping backward then.
Instantly the door slides open, with a loud noise, as if it hasn't been used for a long time.
By the slot of the door, at least half of a dozen pairs of light spots are lurking toward me. I don't have time to think twice, because the owners of them jump automatically over me, pinning me down.
I don't remember of closing my eyes, however there's a short moment that is trapped in my head. A pair of those light spots seemed different to me, drawing my gaze and taking over a special place in my subconscious, and my heart.
When I suddenly open my eyes and steal an amount of fresh air, filling my lungs once again, my vision captures a small Husky puppy with a brown blackened eye, as brown blackened as the sun when it's hidden by the moon in an eclipse day, on the right side of his muzzle; on the other side, the eye acquires the blue contorns of a full moon, pale and metallic, although his expression translates pure caring love.
And then a bond is created between me and the Husky, we both smiled (even with him being a dog) because we knew. Biting my sleeve, he pushes me toward the main door, with the other dogs rushing behind me, leading me inside the house.
A few meters from the main door, there is a staircase that turns to both sides of the house, next to the staircase there's a half covered window, where I can distinguish three shapes.
"Looks like we have a new customer." the lady in red announces.
I open my mouth to justify, that I'm only here because the dogs invited me in, but then I notice that that will sound a bit awkward, especially because the dogs are already gone.
"This is a shop between worlds, the only ones who can find it, are the ones in need, so my little girl, shall I grant your wish?" the lady begins saying these words with a serious expression, ending up with a big sarcastic smile on her face and moving up slightly the flesh (on display) in her chest.
"Daily house tasks; Daily house tasks!" the two small young girls sing repeatedly, holding hands and dancing around the lady in red, as if satellites trapped in their orbit around a planet.
"Wait what?--" I only have time to say.

*

Collapsing backward into the bed, I finally surrender to exhaustation. With my eyes shut and the window barely opened, I start to drift out toward my land full of folclore, bizarre creatures and dark desires.
The half-conscious me starts to feel the twilight fresh breeze playing with my strands of hair, making me relax and down my guard-lines.
This wave of peace leaves my strings of hair behind, passes by my right ear, teasing it with some imperceptible whisper, rolling down my cheekbone and contemplating my neck slowly and protractedly, right before this wave divides itself in two smaller ones, rubbing up and down my chest and ending up by squeezing it, just like human fingers.
With this, my lungs screaming for air and some annoying scratching on the door, reality forces the entrance into my world and I let it in...
All of a sudden, the wave of peace abandons my body, causing an empty feeling in my heart, and exhaustation takes over my body and mind once again. But before that, I'm able to walk toward the door, and let Gilbert (the small Husky puppy with different eye colours) in and leave the door just like it was (closed and locked), checking the keyhole, making sure that is filled with paper (to avoid curious eyes to peek inside).
Gilbert is all jumpy and reclaims my bed as his domain, "No way!" I say, pushing him off my bed. He falls over, barking a squeak and begins to complain in his soppy lonely yelp alongside with his cute big shimmering eyes.
"You should have known better that, that doesn't work with me." pointing out.
Gilbert turns around, climbs up to the porch near to the window and starts to scratch the glass with his paws.
"What is it now?" I ask, a bit annoyed, with my head resting on my crossed arms, while laying on my belly, inside my bed.
He barks at me, as if he is saying Come and see, silly girl.
I manage to get up again (for the second time!) and look out the window, without stumbling in anything, on my way up there.
I have a marvelous view to the lake, but what my eyes capture go beyond that.
Two shapes floating a few inches above the lake tangled deeply in each other. One is laying on the water's surface, with her serene face and a halo (it's impossible not to notice about the enormous white glowing wings of her), and the other one is way smaller, and transfigures darkness. The way he is holding the angelic woman, gives me the sensation that he is sucking her power. Also, that seems to be not, a painful process, but one that provides an unbelievable clímax to both mates. However one has to succumb.
Faced with this scene I close my eyes and squeeze my eyeballs with my hands, telling myself that what I'm seeing, isn't real.
When I open them again, instead of two shapes, there's plenty of fireflies flying through the air, transforming the lake in some eerie dimension.
"Fireflies, how nice!" I admit, switching gazes between Gilbert and the light bugs.
In a blink of an eye the fireflies are dancing into my room, enchanting everything around me.
This spell, this embrace... is so similar to that wave of peace I experienced just a few minutes ago, that the simple memory of it send a shiver through my spine.
Kneeling down to the porch, the fireflies assume the shape of a young man, around my age. His arms block my way out, pressing my existence against the floor.
When he focuses his glare in mine, my brain starts ringing a silent mental alarm. It's him, the guy that keeps appearing in my dreams, Isaac!
"So cute, even after all this time, you still get excited by my presence." his voice is deep and seductive, "That might mean that you are still in love with me." he hums in my ear, moving backward just enough in order to meet my gaze.
Tell the truth, Hannah!
"It Is not that I don't like you--" I begin to say, averting my gaze from him.
"My sweet A-ya. Me and you are bonded. We will be each other's salvation or condemnation." he starts to crawl forward, while I do the same but backward, "Which one will be? Salvation or Condemnation?"
He is, almost, floating over me, and with so much naked skin (except for the jeans).
"I-- I want you to back off!" I try to hide the trembling in my voice, in vain. "And my name is Hannah!"
"Is that what you really want, 'Hannah'?" he emphasizes my name, with a twisted smirk in his face.
Use the power of truth...
I blink, "In this moment, what I really want is to sleep!"
His smile is young and pervy "Then, why won't you come with me, Hannah?"
"Well, y'know if I do that, I wouldn't get much of a sleep--"
He interrupts me, erasing the space between us, by pressing his cold skin against mine, making me purr softly "I could give you so much more, if you only choose to be by my side."
Find the truth!...
"I wish I could believe you. However, whenever you go, death and agony follow. I don't trust you."
"But you could." he insists.
"I don't think so."
"C'mon, my love. One word, YESH, and your life will change forever." his lips are no longer teasing my ear with his harmonic voice, instead, they go down and start rubbing my neck.
In the moment his arms stop blocking me against the floor, I sneak sideways, determined to create some space between us. I need to think, and I can't do that in his arms.
Isaac follows me, this time yarding me against the opening window. I don't need to turn around. I know that the high is stunning and the different tones of colours of the lake await me, deep, deeper inside it.
"You can't run away from me." he squint his hazel eyes. I distinguish his fury lurking beneath his seductive role, "I know your essence A-ya, you ache for my touch."
Isaac's hand rests on my hip, while the other one go up meeting my boob. Isaac slides his thumb by the most sensitive spot, and I feel a freezing emotion of pure satisfaction.
"No, stop it, please." I mean it as an order, but the words are too weak.
"Then, join me and together we will create a new world all over." while he is talking, he descends his gaze to my breast, which he took with both hands, sending cold waves of desire through my body.
Let the truth awake you!
"I want to be with you." I finally say.
His face tranfigures pure sense of victory.
"But the truth is, that I'm Hannah! And I choose my Goddess and the free will!" I scream my last words, throwing myself backwards, into the lake, into it's deepness.

In a far away reality, I still hear Isaac's voice, calling my name.
