A Kiss that Worth a 100 Lifes - Part II

Five years ago...

"Here is it, now or never...", she murmured to herself.
With her baggage laying on the sidewalk, she climbed the stairs towards the front door and pressed the bell ring, stepped back staring at the door, breathing in and out slowly and waited peacefully.

She heard steps behind the door, there was a while when everything was quiet (she deduced he was checking who was, by the window), and then the key inside started unlocking the front door.

When the door suddenly opened, she saw his face for the first time, read traces of shock, love at first sign and happiness in his smile.

She stood still, right where she was staring at him (still didn't believe that she was actually meeting him in real life).

He opened his arms, she moved forwards and both of them embrace each other.
He lie his head on top of hers, smelling the soft, spicy scent of her hair.
She snuggled into his chest, hearing his heartbeat beating irregulary (just like hers).

She looked up at him and he glanced his gaze down at her.
On her tiptoes, and grabbing her lower back erasing the space between them, they got into a deep caring kiss.
A kiss that came true all the feelings caged in their hearts for so long;
A kiss that finally released the bird locked in the cage of their souls;
A kiss that meant freedom and made them believe in a sweeter reality...

Is it real, after all?
