"Flower of lux lucis rutilus; Is fulsi tempestas est macies; Rotundus tempestas secundum & is addo unus ut eram meu" she sang while drinking a cup of tea with wild herbs. The bunny ate the same wild herbs as her.
Everybody stood still. Nothing happened. Nathaniel was still a bunny.
"It didn't work?" she sighed and pet the ferret, laying on her right shoulder "What about now?" she whispered.
"At least, you tried!" he started to say.
"However, it was not enough..." she concluded.
"Doesn't matter," he focused her gaze "I'm sure your husband is very happy, just because you care..." the last word was almost a mute, he was trying to hold back tears.
"Hey,... what's the matter?" sitting next to him.
He tangled his hands and lie his chin on them "Many years ago, I had a girlfriend and a house..." she listened "I wanted to purpose to her, ... reason why i took two shifts at police department." his eyes seemed to burn with rage. "One night, while I was still working, a fireman called to my department." he paused "I still remember every single word..." averting his gaze towards the fire "Your house and everything inside turned to ashes." he repeated. "I couldn't move, ... I didn't even reply to him ... and he hung up." he exhaled "I was insane! I drove so madly that I didn't killed myself, just because God didn't want that to happen." he gasped "When I arrived, the only thing left was ashes, not even a single burned shape... EVERYTHING; wife, the baby she was carrying and our house destroyed in a few hours, even minutes..."
Laura kept in silence and suddenly the bunny started to run away towards the same forest that turned Nathaniel into a bear and then into a bunny.
"Nathaniel!" she screamed "Come back!" he ignored.
She followed him, with Seth around her neck and letting Ted next to the fire and the car tent.
The forest lighted up two times spaced by five seconds.
"Transformation lights!" she whispered to Seth.
When she arrived at the clearing, there was two shirt-less guys standing. One of them was Nathaniel.
"Nathaniel" she called him again.
He averted his gaze towards her, with a panic expression as if he was asking for help.
The other guy just said "Go!" and Nathaniel disapeared in the middle of the forest, with a supernatural speed and soundless.
While Nathaniel ran away, the other guy took some steps towards her and groaned "Go away!"
Seth started groaning back, and she said "Wow, you need to extend your grammar... argh!" he put one hand on her mouth and the other one on her neck and started to strangle her, lifting her feet of the ground.
Seth jumped into his face and began to bite him with his sharp teeth. The tall, strong guy grabbed Seth and threw him away, right when there was another flash of light, a yellow one this time.
Laura kept fighting against his tight hand, in order to breath; when he suddenly stopped and fell to the ground. Seth hit him with a dry branch of a tree and it broke in two halfs.
Laura coughed several times and knelt to the ground.
Instead of paws of a ferret, she saw feet of a human. Seth was human! With his scruffy hair, bright purple eyes, a dark tattoo on his tan left upper arm (different from the one, Nathaniel has) and just wearing brown shorts; he said her name on the precise moment when she lost consciousness.

The sun was already high on the sky, one hour past mid-day. A delicious scent of broil in the air mixing with the sweet scent of the water on the river that was rushing down the ocean.
She was curled up on the sleeping bag on the back seat of her old Land Rover, while Ted was cooking the lunch. She turned around and Seth was next to her, the ferret. She held his gaze and confessed "I know what i saw, so don't convince me otherwise!" and averted her gaze to the ceiling of the car. The ferret just grinned.
"Lunch is ready!" Ted shouted.
Seth jumped off the car and took his seat next to the fire.
"C'mon sunshine, let's eat."
Against her will, she got up really slowly still grabbing the blankets and also took her seat next to the guys.
"Don't call me that!" she said while picking up her dish.
"As you wish, young lady." he jested.
She only raised one eyebrow and took the first bite, as if she was saying that it was going to be a long day.
