Feeling the warm breeze against your fur, making it dance, as if they were waves tossing and turning on the sand; smelling the various scents in the air, the exciting scent of bunny cubs snuggling up to each other inside a warm, confortable hole underground (a hole that could easily be tracked down and digged in); hearing the clear sounds of the mother of nature, crystal, fresh water sprouting from a granitic nascent and falling down on these rocks, as if they were deeply in love and the touch of purity washed away the scars sunken into the cheeks of the rocks, the droplets which were more lighter flew away and scattered in the woods, the mysterious melody which a owl was chirping, within the effect of the light against the 'flying droplets', gave to the forest an enchanted appearance, almost divine; feeling the trails beneath your paws, stones rolling on the floor with the majestic speed, your compact and light body, gain and seeing in front of you a whole world to explore.
However...
With freedom, comes the responsability of your actions;
With no one by your side, you have to accept the rules that move the world around;
Because, after all, we truly die alone (a gift or a curse? Your decision!)
A taste of digesting fluids comes up to your mouth, It's time for a hunt!...
Sliding down your nose to the ground, you track down a scent of a squirrel frenetically nomming an acorn. Target selected!...
Moving on your tiptoes, leveraging the lower warm breeze to disguise your body scent, you erase the meters between your dinner.
The squirrel lowered its guard, giving an opportunity to predators like us to satisfy our growing hunger; you could already feel the bones cracking with the power of your bite, the flesh ripping with the help of your paws; and then you jumped...
Licking your whiskers, you could feel the sweet taste of blood from the innocent tiny creature.
Is it a sin to enjoy your killing to full-fill your needs? My instincts tell me otherwise!...
Changing your direction towards the river, you look forwards to satisfy another of your desires. The meal couldn't come to an end without the tastiness of fresh water.
Near to the river, there were many preys, although not worth your time.
Shutting your eyes, and sipping the crystal clear water from the river, a wave of peace populates your primitive mind and on a blink of an eye, the predator becomes the prey.
Hiding within the green, newborn bushes there is a black, old wolf bristling his fur, showing his white, gleaming teeth where you could distinguish stains of blood.
You remind yourself of his scent, which you had tracked a few hours before dawn.
One of his eyes is light blue, just like the colour of the full moon, metallic and pale;
the other one is darkened grey, much like ashes that were just burned.
He seems possessed with cholera, he've gone mad!
You have no way out,
unless you jump into the water, which is definitely out of question.
And before you could think twice, he throws himself at your throat and the universe is painted with similar colours as when it was created...
