"Keys, briefcase, leash, bike..." Stefan checked, sliding his left hand to the left pocket of his trousers and feeling the shape of the car and house keys, picking up his light briefcase, full of business papers, tying up the Detroit's leash around his right fist and pulling the bike down the stairs, "C'mon Detroit, let's go for a walk!"
He started to ride down the road, heading to a park near his office. That way, he could enjoy the breeze, spinning around the branches of some trees and making the grass wave softly, and Detroit could run freely, wearing the accumulated energies.
*
Shutting the door and locking it up, wearing a running equipment with a mp3 player hanging on her chest and with her hair pulled up in a ponytail, Rebecca went for her usual run, towards her office.
One step at a time, following the music's rhythm she headed to the central park, near her office.
*
It took a long time for Detroit to get used to Stefan's bicycle. Detroit didn't understand why stefan walked in just two legs, but at least, when he was riding the weird creature with 'two wheels' he was even faster than himself.
All of a sudden it appeared in the air a female scent, tempting his instincts, and as a trigger, the scent ignited his desires and he looked forwards to revealed the truth.
*
The phone rang in his heart-pocket of his shirt and Stefan answered still riding the bike.
It was his boss, he wanted him to do an especial article for the newspaper with another mate. Right when his boss was giving him the instructions to meet up with the other guy, Detroit started running faster.
Stefan squeaked with the abrupt variation of speed and tried to pull the brake-to-hand, but Detroit was pulling the bike forwards with too much strength. His boss was still on the phone and asked what was going on, what was the reason for such hysteria. But it was too late, a tight turn, the end for Stefan. Detroit turned left and the tension on the leash made it break, so the bike headed to the lake and Stefan took another refreshing bath in the morning.
*
The mp3 battery was now empty, time for some stretching before taking a shower.
Rebecca noticed that a black retriever was following her for a few minutes, so she decided to stop and see what she could do to help the poor animal.
"ohai buddy, are you lost?" Rebecca asked patting behind his right ear, while Detrot's tail was moving sideways and panting, with his tongue hanging in its snout.
Rebecca noticed on the leash that something was written there and read "Detroit..." and he barked. A few meters behind them, Stefan was walking, whistling in order to find detroit. He was smelling like a public toilet, all wet and chilled to the bone, the good side was that he had another suit in his office, as well as a bathroom where he could take a quick shower.
Stefan tilted his head back and found Detroit enjoying all the treats that a woman was giving him.
*
Opps, Stefan is comming! Detroit thought to himself,
No cookies for Detroit for a week! and he began to yelp.
"What's wrong, buddy?" Rebecca wondered, grabbing Detroit's muzzle with her both hands.
"Thank you, for catching Detroit." Stefan thanked her, feeling kind of embarrassed, but above all, upset.
"No problem, Mr. ... Stefan, right?" Rebecca greeted him.
"Yah, how do you know?" Stefan fixed her eyes, noticing how atractive the woman was.
"The leash" she informed, replacing the broken leash for a new one.
"You don't have to do that..." he started saying, but she stopped him "No, I insist! I know, how tough can be to teach a dog." she smiled.
Rebecca's watch began to ring "Oh my, time to go. Bye, nice to meet you, I'm Rebecca." she said quickly and shook his hand, "I'm Stefan, as you already know." he replied a bit confused, as she walked away.
*
"I'm so, so, so late!" he whispered to himself, heading to the elevador and pressing the button. He got in and asked himself why the elevador's doors didn't close, In the precise moment, when the elvador's doors were closing, someone's hand stopped them.
And it was Rebecca,
she was different with her hair waving freely on her neck and shoulders, now wearing a more professional outfit. She seemed as much surprised as him, for both of their presences.
"Do you work here?" they asked at the same time, "I usually work at the 4th floor." she said, still giggling, "I'm from the 3rd floor, I'm still a noob around here, as you can see." he replied, holding a chuckle.
"I'm heading to the 6th floor, for a group project." she began, "So do I!"
The elevador stopped, ringing the 6th floor signal and opening the doors. Their boss was waiting for them and commented "I see the two lover birds, already met each other, c'mon let's start working."
Both of them gazed each other, Rebecca biting her lower lip, where you could distinguish her cheeks blushing and Stefan coughing softly, disguising the joy in his expression.
